Three main grocery stores in the area :

1. Small Mr Fresh and liquor store (12 min walk into Tofo village near the large market)

2. Big Mr Fresh and the butchery (12 min drive, from the house, out of Tofo on the main road at Babalaza Centro)

3. Yum-Yum with a bakery and butchery (18 min drive out of Tofo back on the main road) or you can order to-you-door home delivery WhatsApp John +258 84 611 5771

Two options for local fresh fruit and veggies :

1. Just left of the houses is a small local veg stand. The house staff own this stand and you can order directly from Maria at the house

2. Go into Tofo village for the larger local market with a bigger selection

Currency

• There is NO ATM in Tofo. The closest ATM is at the petrol garage on your way into Tofo, outside of the BCI bank. There is another ATM, further down the same road, outside of the Big Mr Fresh at Babalaza Centro, which is an ABSA.

• All cash withdrawals are limited to MZN 5,000 / withdrawal but you may put your card in and out to do more withdrawals up to five times / day (depending on your own bank).

• Should you wish to exchange foreign currency I recommend doing so at the BCI bank at the petrol garage just outside of Tofo, for the best rate.

• Some but not all companies in Tofo will accept credit cards, you will need some local currency.
